Seafarer permanent impairment — CBA
Return to work and lasting injury consequences are different questions. Assessment with reference to your collective agreement.
For seafarers, law firms and insurers. Scope, language and cost agreed before commissioning.
ASSESSMENT SCOPE
Permanent disability after an accident (CBA, ITF/IBF)
When a shipowner or P&I club treats clearance to return to work as proof of no impairment, an independent assessment of lasting consequences may be needed. A physician from our network can describe the consequences with reference to the table in your collective agreement — also in English. We state missing measurements or records plainly; records from Polish providers can be requested with your authorisation.
Questions for the physician
- Do the records indicate lasting consequences of the injury?
- Do the available measurements allow reference to the applicable CBA table?
- What is missing for the physician to substantiate the conclusions?
Records for subsequent review
- Applicable collective agreement, impairment table and case correspondence.
- Injury records, current examinations, functional measurements and earlier assessments.
INEM Cloud
Do not send records by email or through the form. After agreeing the scope, we provide the separate protected INEM Cloud channel. Your initial enquiry should contain only the purpose of the report, without health details.
We do not issue seafarer medical certificates or statutory decisions, do not examine patients in Poland and do not assess legal claims. We do not promise any outcome. An enquiry does not suspend appeal or claim deadlines.
