Identify the right question
Is the concern about diagnosis, treatment choice, monitoring, consequences or completeness of records? Medical review of the course of care is distinct from determining legal liability. We do not assume an error before reviewing the evidence.
Possible scope of review
A physician in the relevant specialty can organise the chronology, answer agreed medical questions and identify gaps limiting the assessment. Further records or another specialty may be agreed if needed.
A private opinion and formal proceedings
Poland’s Patient Rights Ombudsman provides information about the Medical Events Compensation Fund. The appropriate procedure and its requirements need separate checking. An INEM opinion is not a Fund or court decision and does not confirm entitlement to compensation.
